Fairfax, VA – The Virginia Education Association (VEA) Fund for Children and Public Education has recommended Delegate Tim Hugo for re-election. The recommendation comes with the backing of both the Fairfax (FEA) and Prince William (PWEA) Education associations.

The VEA has supported Delegate Hugo in every election since 2003. In 2016, the VEA presented Delegate Hugo with the Legislative Champion award.

“Since 2003, Delegate Tim Hugo has proven himself to be a strong advocate of public education and the students and employees that make up our public school system,” said VEA President Jim Livingston. “The VEA appreciates Delegate Hugo for his solid record and is proud to support his re-election.”

“I am proud to have earned the support of the VEA and the local education associations in Fairfax and Prince William counties. It is an honor to once again receive their recommendation for my re-election,” said Delegate Hugo. “Education, a core function of government, is a top priority for all Virginians and I will continue to work with the VEA to keep Virginia’s public education system strong.”

The VEA is a statewide community of more than 50,000 teachers and school support professionals working for the betterment of public education in the Commonwealth. First organized in 1863, VEA has consistently advocated for quality instruction and curriculum, adequate funding, and excellent working conditions for Virginia public employees.
