Fairfax, VA – Delegate Tim Hugo is requesting that the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) Chairman Marty Nohe hold a meeting in western Prince William County on the NVTA’s Draft TransAction Plan.
“I am requesting that an outreach event be held in western Prince William County prior to the public comment period closing on July 23rd,” said Delegate Hugo. “I believe Prince William County residents should receive the same courtesy given to other jurisdictions.”
Delegate Hugo’s request was initiated by the inclusion of the Bi-County Parkway project in NVTA’s Draft TransAction Plan, the multimodal transportation master plan for Northern Virginia. In March of 2016, the Bi-County Parkway Project was removed from the county’s comprehensive plan.
“I am troubled that NVTA scheduled informational meetings in almost all of NVTA’s jurisdictions, and to date Prince William County has been neglected and ignored,” concluded Delegate Hugo.
