DELEGATE ROB BELL ENDORSES TIM HUGO FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
Centreville, VA – Delegate Rob Bell (Albemarle) endorsed Tim Hugo’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor today citing Hugo as the “law and order” candidate.
“You can always count on Tim Hugo to fight for crime victims,” said Bell. “He was instrumental in passing laws to hold violent criminals and sex offenders accountable for their crimes, especially those who engage in sex trafficking of children. He also stood up for law enforcement. In recent months we have seen proposals to defund the police and reduce penalties for those who assault law enforcement — we can count on Tim to oppose them. I encourage everyone to join me in supporting Tim for Lieutenant Governor.”
“I am honored to have Delegate Bell’s endorsement and add his name to the growing list of conservative leaders who have endorsed our campaign,” Hugo said. “Unlike the Democrats in Richmond, I’ll work to hold criminals accountable when they hurt Virginia citizens. Equally important, I’ll stand with our men and women in law enforcement, not defund them. Now more than ever, Virginia needs a renewed commitment to public safety and it is one of the prime reasons I am running for Lieutenant Governor.”
Delegate Bell’s endorsement follows the endorsements of other conservative leaders including House of Delegates Caucus Chair Kathy Byron (Bedford), Del. Mark Cole (Spotsylvania), Del. Matt Fariss (Campbell), Del. Buddy Fowler (Hanover), Del. Margaret Ransone (Westmoreland), Del. Nick Rush (Montgomery), Del. Lee Ware (Powhatan), and Sen. Bill DeSteph (Virginia Beach).
Tim is an Army veteran and former Virginia Delegate where he rose to be the third ranking member of the House of Delegates. As a Delegate of 17 years, Tim amassed a reliably conservative voting record. Tim is running for Lieutenant Governor to position Virginia for a 21st Century economy, bring about a strong economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, defend Virginians’ Constitutional rights, hold the line on additional tax increases, and stand up for the men and women in law enforcement.
