FAIRFAX CITY COUNCILMAN SANG YI ENDORSES TIM HUGO FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

Centreville, VA – Fairfax City Councilman Sang Yi, the top vote getter in Fairfax City’s 2018 and 2020 elections, endorsed Tim Hugo’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor today citing Hugo’s longtime advocacy of the local issues that matter to families most.

“Tim Hugo’s dedication to working families, economic growth, and local issues are reflected in his strong record in the House of Delegates,” said Yi. “As a Fairfax City Councilman, I could always count on Tim to help champion small businesses and quality of life issues in Richmond.

Tim’s expertise and focus on the issues that directly impact our families and communities are exactly what we need to lead the Commonwealth’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. I am proud to call Tim a friend and equally proud to endorse his campaign because I know he will continue his record of hard work as Lieutenant Governor.”

“Sang is a strong leader who is a tireless advocate for his constituents, and I am honored to have him on our team,” said Hugo. “In the months ahead, I look forward to working with him and all Republican leaders who have endorsed our campaign to take back the Lieutenant Governor’s office by building a statewide coalition that can defeat the Democrats in November.”

Tim Hugo has also been endorsed by other conservative leaders including:

Senator Bill DeSteph (Virginia Beach)
Senator Ryan McDougle (Hanover)
Senator Richard Stuart (Fredericksburg)
Delegate Rob Bell (Albemarle)
House of Delegates Caucus Chair Kathy Byron (Bedford)
Delegate Bobby Orrock (Caroline)
Delegate Matt Fariss (Campbell)

Former Speaker of the House William Howell
Former Delegate Scott Lingamfelter
Former 10th Congressional District Candidate/Current HD 51 Candidate Jeff Dove
Former 10th District GOP Chair Jo Thoburn
Chesapeake City Clerk of the Court Alan Krasnoff

Tim is an Army veteran and former Virginia Delegate where he rose to be the third ranking member of the House of Delegates. As a Delegate of 17 years, Tim amassed a reliably conservative voting record. Tim is running for Lieutenant Governor to position Virginia for a 21st Century economy, bring about a strong economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, defend Virginians’ Constitutional rights, hold the line on additional tax increases, and stand up for the men and women in law enforcement.
