SENATOR RICHARD STUART ENDORSES TIM HUGO FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
Centreville, VA – Senator Richard Stuart (Fredericksburg) endorsed Tim Hugo’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor today continuing Hugo’s trend of consolidating conservative support behind his bid for the Commonwealth’s second highest office.
“I am proud to add my name to the list of conservatives endorsing Tim’s campaign,” said Stuart. “If my caucus picks up one seat in 2023 the Lt. Governor will be a tie breaking vote. It is vitally important we elect someone who will be a reliable conservative and help our Republican Senate Caucus advance pro-taxpayer, pro-small business, and pro-law enforcement legislation. I know Tim will meet that challenge.”
“Senator Stuart served our nation as a member of the United States Marine Corps and continues to serve our Commonwealth dutifully as a member of the Virginia Senate,” said Hugo. “His support means a great deal to me and I am honored to have him on our team. I look forward to working with him to champion policies that help Virginia businesses and families.”
Tim Hugo has also been endorsed by other conservative leaders including:
Senator Bill DeSteph (Virginia Beach)
Senator Ryan McDougle (Hanover)
Delegate Rob Bell (Albemarle)
House of Delegates Republican Caucus Chair Kathy Byron (Bedford)
Delegate Bobby Orrock (Caroline)
Delegate Matt Fariss (Campbell)
Delegate Buddy Fowler (Hanover)
House of Delegates Republican Whip Jay Leftwich (Chesapeake)
Delegate Margaret Ransone (Westmoreland)
Delegate Nick Rush (Montgomery)
Delegate Lee Ware (Powhatan)
Delegate Mark Cole (Spotsylvania)
Former Senator Dick Black
Former Speaker of the House William Howell
Former Delegate Scott Lingamfelter
Former 10th Congressional District Candidate Jeff Dove
Former 10th District GOP Chair Jo Thoburn
Chesapeake City Clerk of the Court Alan Krasnoff
Tim is an Army veteran and former Virginia Delegate where he rose to be the third ranking member of the House of Delegates. As a Delegate of 17 years, Tim amassed a reliably conservative voting record. Tim is running for Lieutenant Governor to position Virginia for a 21st Century economy, bring about a strong economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, defend Virginians’ Constitutional rights, hold the line on additional tax increases, and stand up for the men and women in law enforcement.
