VIRGINIA DELEGATES ENDORSE TIM HUGO FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

Centreville, VA – In the first of a series of announcements, seven members of the Virginia House of Delegates – Caucus Chair Kathy Byron (Bedford), Del. Mark Cole (Spotsylvania), Del. Matt Fariss (Campbell), Del. Buddy Fowler (Hanover), Del. Margaret Ransone (Westmoreland), Del. Nick Rush (Montgomery), and Del. Lee Ware (Powhatan) – endorsed Tim Hugo’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor today and issued the following joint statement:

“Tim Hugo has a long record of delivering conservative victories for Virginians. As a colleague, he was a reliable vote for pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, and pro-taxpayer policies. We are proud to endorse his campaign for Lieutenant Governor and look forward to working with him to build a statewide coalition that can defeat the Democrats in November and end their one party rule in Richmond.”

“I am honored to have the support of my former colleagues,” said Hugo. “The Democrats unchecked power in Richmond is failing the people of Virginia, and now more than ever we need common sense leadership that can bring sensible governance to our Commonwealth. As Lieutenant Governor, I’ll work with conservative leaders like Del. Byron, Del. Cole, Del. Fariss, Del. Fowler, Del. Ransone, Del. Rush, and Del. Ware to implement policies that create jobs, help families, and ensure Virginia’s status as one of the safest and best places to live.”

Tim is an Army veteran and former Virginia Delegate where he rose to be the third ranking member of the House of Delegates. As a Delegate of 17 years, Tim amassed a reliably conservative voting record. Tim is running for Lieutenant Governor to position Virginia for a 21st Century economy, bring about a strong economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, defend Virginians’ Constitutional rights, hold the line on additional tax increases, and stand up for the men and women in law enforcement.
